As a kid I was inspired by my teachers to develop my artistic talent. Art class was always my favorite. I discovered comic books as a teenager and spent hours copying the styles and characters I admired. Eventually, I enrolled in correspondence courses with The Joe Kubert School’s World of Cartooning. The courses provided structured practice and professional critiques allowing me to develop my own personal talent and style. I also became more familiar with sequential storytelling.

During the Fall of 2009, I began the Digital Media Technology program through Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Over the course of the program, I was introduced to digital photography, videography, sound design, and screenwriting, where my experience with sequential storytelling has found expression. I began to experiment with art in digital media in Photoshop, Flash, Motion, Final Cut Pro and other software. Since graduating in Spring of 2012, I’ve also worked with Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.

In still photography, I have found another outlet for my creative vision–whether capturing the emotion of sports and weddings, or the personality of portraits, or the beauty of the world around us.
